The SUN

Things around the way haven't been so peaceful for many across the globe but I hope that you find a piece of happiness some where in your soul. I will continue to do the same. My condolences to the Joyner family for the lost of their son. Friend of mine back in grade school. We used to beat on the lunch table 'til our knuckles bled just for sheer entertain of our class mates from time to time. He was a drummer too. I remember talking about what drum sets we would buy and what we would play on them. Shame to see him go after battling cancer successfully. Life is confusing at times. Don't know why things happen the way they do. Always for a reason. Those reasons most of the time I don't overstand. My blessings go out to all that has lost someone within the last couple of years. Trying to keep in mind that life is short and one should do their best while here. Sometimes it's tough due to dire economic statuses, manipulative/ people, negative spirits, bad situations etc. Gotta keep treading water. I and I'll try to do it with a smile on my face.

Have a Blessed Sunday

Didn't want to play a sad song so Herbie is gonna hold it down

Well Said...

It's good to have a group of like minded people around you to kick you in the ass every once in a while but more importantly to give you encouragement when times are tough or if the light is further down the road then what you expected.

I was cleaning my email inbox and ran across this message from a friend of mine and now new host of UGR, Jay-c aka Hitchcock.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others".
~Jay

Still determined to let my light shine no matter what. Godspeed...

Once you look at the list you may even say that you never seen these videos on the channel. You may be right due to the OVER SATURATION of "reality" shows, you have been too locked in to even want to find new music. I digress... You can vote HERE

Here are two of my favorites:

Oldies but goodies:
One of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins video. "Tonight, Tonight" Won in 1996

Another favorite

Those ain't new steps foo

"We don't die we multiply"

So I was at the club and this song came on and few folks started buckin'. What the heck is that? "Jerkin". Oh ok. Then a picture came in mind of when my mom use to take us to the Native American festivals in the Mountains of Georgia. Supposedly we have Native Blood. Currently doing research on that but check this out.

Last but not least, MC HAMMER. Check the pants from the last video. You know had a pair of those. Don't front.

Ancestors say "You can't touch this!"

My Inspiration

Love her love her love her. Look up to her as a child and still as a young adult. Inspire me to stay on my craft as a musician. Oh, and she invented the word swag if you ask me.

Since I'm on my girl power tangent...

Yes I used to know most of her dance routines but I'm not the only one. I'm sure these ladies did too. Electric Red is like Spice Girls on Esctacy. (joey lawrence voice) Whoa!

Can't forget about my favorite all girl band KLYMAXX.
I remember watching the "UNITY" video at the youth center waaaaay back in Ft. Benning days. PEEP.
Last but not least... my favorite song growing up. Girlfriend by Pebbles. Guess this is why I am allergic to bullshit.

Performance

There are A LOT of bike route and trails here in NC and I really really appreciate that greatly. I didn't ride that much in the streets of Tally due to their horendous hill. YIKES! Anyway, I'm not the biggest fans of fixies but if i had to get one it would look like this:

I like speed, so for me it's all about performance.
